Mohammed ben Abdallah (conceived 1 January 1944) is a Ghanaian dramatist, “the major Ghanaian writer of his age”.
Chief and organizer behind the Legon Road Theater, he became head of School of Performing Arts at the University of Ghana in 2003.
His works depict postcolonial show that coordinates both native and European topics applicable in contemporary African social orders.
Written in 1972, ben Abdullah’s most memorable book, The Slaves, turned into the chief non-American sensational play to win the Randolph Edmund’s Award of the National Association for Speech and Dramatic Arts.
Ben Abdallah stood firm on bureau footholds during the Military legislature of the Provisional National Defense Council.
