The doctor says that pubic hair on the vagina is not for beautification

dr Kennedy Tettey Cofie Brightson of Superintendent Shai Osudoku Hospital in the Greater Accra Region has said that the pubic hair that grows on the vulva is not for beautification and should always be shaved off.

Speaking on the GTV Breakfast Show about women shaving their hair on the vulva, Dr. Brightson said the vulva isn’t there for beautification because it can breed all sorts of organisms and invite lice into the pubic hair.

He said: “Both men and women must learn to keep this area free of hair, which means you should do it”.

Meanwhile, some people have also complained that they get boils around their vulva every time they shave.

The doctor explained that many staph bacteria, a type of germ commonly found on the skin or in the nose of even healthy people, emit mild odors as byproducts.

He added that men who demand that their wives keep their pubic hair are only endangering them because the man’s desire should not be the woman’s suffering.

Again, Dr. Brightson recognized that shaving the vagina is a technique and advised women to stop inserting products into the vagina in the name of tightening, as it doesn’t help.

He said: “The vagina is a sacred place that needs to be well cared for”.
